I agree, but the fact remains: This is the policy they want and have approved. We as fans have to respect that. I personally feel it is not condusive to the trading / taping / swaping ideals we all subscribe to, but IT IS THEIR POLICY.

If you don't like it, let them know! If you lay out reasons why it should be changed / what it should be changed to / reasons for these, change can happen.

The mgt e-mail contact is listen on Damien's official site:

info@damienrice.com

I am not a super fan, and this was what them and the archive worked out for a policy. If someone wants to make change, write!

" As he continually introduces other new (and as yet, unrecorded in studio) songs into the live set, damien has requested that only songs that have already been recorded and released appear on any sites (both live, radio sessions and all other sites). This is so people will not get too familar with live versions of the songs and have preconceived ideas about the forthcoming studio version\and\or become too accoustomed to the live recordings . "

So does this mean that we also can't go to too many shows in case we get preconceived ideas about the forthcoming studio version??

If you don't want people to hear it or get preconceived ideas, then don't play it?
